Siamese algae eater
[Crossocheilus siamensis]
The twins
I got these 2 fish to deal with the algae growing on the plants in my tank. To which they have done a good, but not perfect, job. Still, the tank is a sight cleaner now.
I got them thinking they'd only grow to about 3 inches, but later discovered that the often grow to 6-7 inches and may end up some of the larger fish in the tank.
They unfortunately look just like the tetras in the tank at the moment and are always being chased around by them. But as they get bigger this should lessen.
