a member of the original 5 but holding 1st place for most valuable fish
I've bought. Costing me around $50, budgie is another of my feature
fish. I bought this fellow soon after I'd upgraded my tank to help fill
out the extra space.
Like
Alan, he is a sucker-mouthed catfish, though a completely different
sort. Budgie is a royal whiptail catfish, named so for their whip-like
tail. Though I thought he looked like a helicopter so I called him
Budgie.
Budgie may be longer
than Alan at about 12cm, and will remain so, reaching a full length of
about 20cm, but he is much smaller in terms of 'beefyness' and gets
picked on a bit by Alan.
He's
also picked on a bit by my girlfriend, who happens to think he may just
be the ugliest fish I own. Something to do with the 'nose'.
